LANDSLIDE WRECKAGE

NEW pictures show the devastating aftermath of the Stonehaven train accident which killed three people.

Wreckage can be seen of the horror crash after the Aberdeen to Glasgow train left the tracks last Wednesday.

Investigators continued to work at the scene yesterday.

It comes as a report last night detailed the plunge down a wooded embankment – and the wife of driver Brett McCullough, 45, who died in the crash, spoke out on social media.

Conductor Donald Dinnie, 58, and passenger Chris Stuchbury, 62, were also killed.

The Rail Accident Investigation Branch (RAIB) said the train was travelling at just under 73mph when it derailed. The speed limit is 75mph for that stretch of track.
