John Bundy had gastric surgery six years ago and has since endured ongoing pain and struggled to eat.

Taking 36 tablets a day in a bid to manage the agony, John says he has been at hospital about 20 times this year alone.

He claims he has been left on a trolley on various occasions without access to his medication.

The 49-year-old from Balloch, Dunbartonshire, was discharged from Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital last Wednesday.

He said: “I am in so much pain, I can’t move. It has been six years since the operation. They keep on increasing the doses rather than trying to fix the problem.

“I have not been able to eat solid food since that operation six years ago.

“I have been living on a diet of Horlicks, cream cheese, chocolate and evaporated milk.”
