JK Rowling speaks out after trans activist social media pics reveal home address

JK ROWLING called in police after details of her home address were posted on social media by trans activists.

The Harry Potter author said photographs featuring three people posing outside her house prompted her to contact Police Scotland.

Rowling, 56, said her Edinburgh home was targeted on Friday and made an emotional appeal for the pictures to be removed from social media.

Last night, police said: “We are aware of this incident and police inquiries are ongoing.” The incident is the latest clash between the writer and groups of activists over transgender issues.

Rowling has been embroiled in rows over trans rights after taking issue with an article discussing "people who menstruate” last year.

The author later addressed the controversy in a lengthy essay Womei in which she expressed have be her "concern about the subect "huge explosion in young women wishing intimic to transition". and thi Her views saw her slammed by the likes of of viole Harry Potter film stars JK ROWLING Daniel Radcliffe, Emma OVER HARASSI Watson and Eddie Redmayne.

In a series of tweets, Rowling said she had now received so many death threats she could now "paper the house" with them.

She wrote: “Last Friday, my family's address was posted on Twitter by three activist actors who took pictures of themselves in front of our house, carefully positioning themselves to ensure that our address was visible.
