HITMEN FOR HIGHER

MARC MCNULTY reckons his return and the arrival of Tony Watt should give Dundee United enough firepower to blast towards their top-six goal.

Striker McNulty was sidelined with a hamstring tear suffered in September but is available for tonight's home clash with St Mirren.

It was a frustrating injury for McNulty and misfiring United but now the Tannadice men have even more striking options with Watt's pre-contract switch from Motherwell sealed early thanks to a six-figure fee.

McNulty isn't worried about the extra competitiona and said: Anyone coming in, regardless of whether it's your position or not, they're in to help the team. That's the important thing.

Collectively, we want to achieve top six. So bringing in players is only going to help us.

“It keeps you on your toes. With coming back, I've got quite a lot to prove so it's good having those people in who can help to push you on.
