TRIBUTES have been paid to a schoolboy described as the light in his football team who tragically died after being hit by a train.
Devin Gordon, 13, has been named locally as the youngster involved in the horror incident at Bathgate train station in West Lothian at about 2.30pm on Wednesday.
Emergency services raced to the scene but the teen could not be saved and was pronounced dead. Police are not treating the incident as suspicious.
Following the sad news, the young Hearts fan's club, Bathgate Juniors, paid tribute to Devin on social media, describing him as a “light in the team”.
