The city is the only part of Scotland which remains in Level Three restrictions and yesterday Sarwar called for every effort to get it into Level Two.
He demanded a massive increase in PCR testing and vaccination in hotspot areas and said the Scottish Government should enlist the Army to help.
He also said door-to-door testing must be carried out in neighbourhoods with a seven-day average rate of more than 100 cases per 100,000 people.
