Scotland’s hospitality industry has been shut since December, with pubs in much of the central belt closed since October.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will update MSPs on the Scottish Government’s lockdown strategy tomorrow but there is no indication when the licensed trade can re-open.

One of the UK’s largest breweries said there is no reason bars can’t open in spring and accused ministers of “lack of interest”.
