A Hero dad-of-three has died from a rare heart condition after celebrating the New Year with his family.
Kris Simpson, of Hurlford, near Kilmarnock, was given just months to live in March 2019 after suffering from heart failure.
The 34-year-old was diagnosed with antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) which left him with brain bleeds, heart attacks, blood clots, painful arthritis and organ failure.
