Logan Russell was 17 when he lost control of his Vauxhall Corsa. It left the road and hit a tree, leaving three passengers unconscious.

Russell, now 20, told witnesses who went to their aid: “Help my friends. Can you get them out the car? It’s all my fault.”

One passenger, Ethan King, 17, was pronounced dead by paramedics and a second, Connor Aird, also 17, later died in hospital.
