A METRO system in Glasgow and a mass transit system in Edinburgh form part of the Scottish Government’s greener vision for the future of transport.

The Strategic Transport Projects Review (STPR2) has been split into two phases, with phase one centred on investment in sustainable travel and an inclusive transport network over the next two to three years.

Phase two will look at the future of transport over the next 20 years.
