PARALYMPIC Scot Stef Reid is switching her running blade for a skating blade to take part in the new series of Dancing on Ice.
Stef, 36, who lost her leg aged 15 in a horror boating accident, was named alongside Regan Gascoigne, the son of legendary Rangers and England footballer Paul Gascoigne.
Track and field star Stef, who has competed at the last four paralympics, winning two silver and one bronze medal, announced she was taking part on Good Morning Britain.
She said: I'm going to be picking up a new sport this winter and it comes with a little bit of showbiz. I'm going to be a contestant on Dancing on Ice and it's a little bit scary but I cannot wait!
Longjumper Stef, a five times world record holder, was born in New Zealand and grew up in Canada, but is hugely proud of her Scottish roots.
