Drinking more than seven pints of beer a week is the point at which alcohol starts to age your DNA, says scientists.

Brits consuming more than the 17-unit threshold - equivalent to five large glasses of wine - were found to have "older" DNA.

Data from almost half a million people enrolled in the UK Biobank were used to look for genetic markers which show how much alcohol a person drinks.
