Lockdown restrictions in Scotland are expected to be eased on Friday – but strict rules on who you can meet and where will remain in place.
The Scottish Government’s plan aims to return the country to a degree of normality in stages while ensuring public safety.
Nicola Sturgeon will continue taking expert advice this week before announcing on Thursday what rules can be relaxed and when.
Here are 25 commonly asked questions on what phase one of easing lockdown will actually mean.
1 When will lockdown be lifted?
The first phase of relaxing restrictions is expected to begin on Friday. But many rules will remain in place and strict social distancing while outdoors will be required. The Scottish Government’s core message – stay at home to save lives – is likely to remain.
2 Who can I visit?
More guidance will be issued later in the week but the Scottish Government’s own briefing paper suggests you will be free to meet one other household outdoors as long as you maintain social distancing.
For example, you could invite friends from one other household to sit in your garden, or agree to meet them in a public park or other open space.
3 Can I meet relatives from more than two households at the same time?
The guidelines on this are clear – you can only meet people from one other household at the same time. However, it looks likely you could meet them at different times.
4 Can I invite people into my home?
