A Mum of three survived a “suicide” plunge into a raging river where her estranged husband drowned – and was then arrested for his murder.

Lisa Dodds, 32, recorded a video on her mobile detailing plans to jump into the River Kent after Simon, 43, asked her for a divorce, an inquest heard.

Around nine hours later she was found wet and shivering next to their car while police frogmen found Simon two days later. A pathologist said the newsagent suffered a severe head injury before his death which may have been caused by a “third party”.
