DISTRAUGHT neighbours last night paid tribute to a gran who was found stabbed to death with three family members at their home yesterday.

NHS worker Dolet Hill, who recently had cancer surgery, died in the early morning bloodbath.

Armed police raced to the scene at 1.40 am but it was too late to save any of the tragic victims.

Locals told how they heard chilling screams before officers arrived.

Three generations of the family are understood to have been killed.

The other victims include a man in his mid-60s, a woman in her 40s and another in her 30s.

Police arrested a man in his late 20s on suspicion of murder and he was last night in custody.

Dolet, who was in her 60s, is believed to have two daughters and two grandchildren. Her tearful niece Venecia Reid described her church-going aunt, who was originally from Jamaica, as a "wonderful woman".

SUPPORT

As floral tributes piled up at the scene in Bermondsey, South East London, she said: “She was very loving, very kind, very generous. She worked very hard in this country to support her two girls and her two grandkids.

"She does not deserve this. She loved the church, she was such a hard worker.

"I'm devastated. I couldn't believe it. I had to come here to check for myself."

One neighbour said: “I heard a woman screaming for about five minutes.
