A Former Home Office boss has settled an employment tribunal claim against Priti Patel over bullying allegations.
Ex-permanent secretary Sir Philip Rutnam is said to have received £340,000 plus his legal costs.
He began proceedings against Home Secretary Ms Patel last year after quitting his post in February.
A 10-day tribunal trial was due to take place in September. But the settlement means potential evidence of Ms Patel’s conduct will no longer be aired publicly.
