SIR David Attenborough may be 95 but he is impressing his crew with his stamina as he trots the globe.

The veteran BBC star insisted on rowing himself back across a Croatian lake after filming scenes for this weekend's The Green Planet.

David was moved by the breathtaking beauty at the Falling Lakes in Plitvice, a world heritage site with huge waterfalls.

And after delivering an introduction into some of the world's most beautiful - and competitive - plants, he refused to let producers take back the oars.

Show boss Mike Gunton laughed: “I was with him in the boat, partly because I'm directing him but also because he's out in the middle of the lake and I've got to be careful that nothing goes wrong.

“So I actually rowed out to the location, to where we were doing the า filming, and then he took over.
