Snub as workers at 'breaking point

THE NHS will be offered no new government funding for higher wages and recruiting medics in yet another blow to morale.

The snub comes after NHS staff this year received a below-inflation 3% rise, despite their Covid heroics.

It was sneaked out in a letter to the NHS Pay Review Body as the nation is gripped by concern about the Omicron Covid-19 variant.
