Inquiry bid over Boris Johnson’s ‘consistent failure to be honest’

THE Speaker of the Commons has been urged to allow a vote on an inquiry into Boris Johnson’s “consistent failure to be honest” in statements to MPs.

Six parties – but not Labour – want Sir Lindsay Hoyle to allow a motion that would refer the Prime Minister to the committee on privileges.

The SNP, Lib Dems, Plaid Cymru, Greens, SDLP and Alliance express “deep concern” the PM’s repeated failure to be truthful is damaging the reputation of the Commons.
