DAME Joan Collins says Warren Beatty was so amorous during their romance he wanted sex seven times a day – but had to settle for less.

She was 26 and US actor Beatty was 22 when their eyes met across a restaurant table in America while he was dining with actress Jane Fonda in 1959.

Beatty soon called up British star Joan for a date and it wasn’t long before he moved into her apartment.

Dame Joan, now 88 and celebrating 70 years on screen, said: “It was quite a passionate relationship. It was quite demanding – he was 22.”

On ITV show Life Stories, she was asked about the rumour Beatty wanted sex seven times a day. Laughing, she replied: “He did. I did not allow that.”

They got engaged and she became pregnant but had an abortion as she felt it was not the right time to start a family. She said: “It would have been the death of my career. I was... 26.
