Alan Titchmarsh fears he could wake up one morning and find he has been “cancelled” - after joining social media at the age of 71.
The TV gardener has joined Instagram but insists his innocuous posts about plants should not provoke any backlash.
He joked: “I don’t know whether you can have a venomous reaction to a picture of a daffodil. It probably says more about you if you do, than it does about me.”
The presenter says he makes sure to consult his daughters – aged 40 and 42 – before posting anything on the site to avoid causing them embarrassment.
