ON the night before Leeds celebrate the 30th anniversary of the last time they won the league title how they could have used Lee Chapman or Rod Wallace upfront at Selhurst Park. Or even Patrick Bamford.

But with Kalvin Phillips back for his first start since December, Leeds hung on for a battling goalless draw against Crystal Palace to extend their unbeaten run under to Jesse Marsch to five games.

The Yorkshire club, who had been nine points clear of the drop zone the last time they played, needed a win to ease their renewed relegation fears with Burnley closing fast and Everton having a game in hand.

But at the end of the season, this could prove a vital point with Leeds looking rusty after a 16-day lay-off they managed only two shots on target - and Palace failing to take the better chances.
