THE whirlwind that is Acun Ilicali passed through Hull yesterday and joked: “It’s not easy to deal with a crazy owner!”

Turkey’s answer to Simon Cowell is a man in a hurry and has already made a big impact in his first 10 days in charge, replacing head coach Grant McCann with Shota Arveladze.

He is also close to signing Iranian forward Allahyar Sayyadmanesh from Fenerbahce and hopes to bring in four players before the transfer deadline on Monday.

Ilicali, 52, admits sacking McCann and making so many changes so quickly is a gamble, but says he has built his global TV empire by taking risks.

“I like risk,” he said at his unveiling yesterday at the MKM Stadium. “If I hadn’t taken risks, I wouldn’t be here in front of you now, talking about this beautiful club.
