Burma Railway Vet Takes On New Battle.. Aged 101

A SECOND World War hero who survived the Burma Death Railway is taking on a new battle at the age of 101.

Former Lance Bombardier Len Gibson endured forced labour but survived to inspire young neighbour Dave Stewart, who later formed the Eurythmics.

He is now helping cancer charity Daft as a Brush, which provides free hospital transport.
