HE is the best player not to have been picked for England this season.

But Jarrod Bowen is more focused on finishing yet another special season under David Moyes with silverware in the West Ham trophy cabinet.

Nobody would have predicted a Europa League semifinal place for West Ham, or a top-four challenge, but Bowen's goals have turned them into the Premier League's surprise packages.

The striker has exploded onto the scene to such an extent that widespread surprise greeted his omission from Gareth Southgate's England squad that faced Switzerland and the Ivory Coast in two friendlies last month.

An England call-up will surely come if the 25-year-old adds to the 15 goals he has scored already this season and helps buoyant Hammers reach a European final.

Although some see tonight's opponents Eintracht Frankfurt as a softer touch than Barcelona the team they beat in the last eight - Bowen is not among them.

"It would be disrespectful to say that we wanted to play Barcelona," he said. "Especially after Frankfurt beat them at the Nou Camp.
