Adams has had his 1975 convictions for trying to escape from jail quashed after his detention was ruled unlawful.
The former Sinn Fein leader had argued he was wrongly imprisoned because the interim custody order used to initially detain him was not authorised by the then Northern Ireland Secretary Willie Whitelaw.
Supreme Court judges agreed and yesterday threw out his convictions.
