THE King has thanked the nation for the kindness and support during the Coronation celebrations.
He described it as the "greatest possible Coronation gift".
As the festivities drew to a close, he issued a written message, saying: "We thank you, each and every one."
Official photos to mark the crowning of Charles III and Queen Camilla have also been released to round off the long weekend of festivities.
One of the images shows the working Royal Family in their finery.
The 10 royals flanking the King and Queen include the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and the Princess Royal and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence.
