TIGER WOODS is hoping to play in next year’s 150th Open at St Andrews – after admitting he is lucky to be alive following his horrific car crash in February.
The 45-year-old was in pain throughout as he addressed his first press conference since the accident yesterday.
Asked if featuring at the Home of Golf next July was a possibility, Woods replied: “I would love to play at St Andrews, there is no doubt about it.
“It’s my favourite golf course in the world. Physically, hopefully I can. I’ve got to get there first.”
