CRISTIANO RONALDO vowed to write a new chapter of history with Manchester United, after scoring his dramatic late Champions League winner.
Ronaldo marked his record-breaking 178th Champions League appearance on Wednesday night with a clincher five minutes into stoppage time in the 2-1 win over Villarreal, to send 70,000 United fans into delirium at Old Trafford.
It was his fifth goal in as many games since his seismic return to United, 12 years after he left to join Real Madrid in what was then a world record £80million deal.
