‘Our plan is steering UK through worst of it'

BORIS Johnson told his Cabinet that their battle plan is keeping coronavirus under control after hospitalisations remained “broadly flat”.

The Prime Minister urged his team to “put all our energies” into ensuring the country is fully vaccinated to see off a resurgence in the disease.

He admitted the country faced a “difficult winter” and called on the public to “get their jabs” when they were contacted.

But, at a meeting held in London’s Science Museum, he said the measures the Government has put in place will “steer the country through this period”.
