Daily Express|December 08, 2021

The video shows Boris Johnson’s aides saying there was “definitely no social distancing” at the event last year – and claiming it was a “cheese and wine” evening.

Staff throw questions at her in the mock session held in the No9 press room.

Ed Oldfield, adviser to the prime minister, asked: “I’ve just seen reports on Twitter that there was a Downing Street Christmas party on Friday night, do you recognise those reports?”

Ms Stratton replies: “I went home.”

Laughing and then composing herself, she says “hold on”, before considering how to respond.
