The Good Morning Britain presenter has spoken of “big ups and downs” since Derek, 53, was rushed into intensive care with Covid-19 in March last year, with fears initially that he would never recover.
He recently left hospital and is recuperating at home after major organ damage caused by the virus, but in a new book Kate, 53, describes the day when he was put into an induced coma in April last year.
