CHELSEA - 1
BRIGHTON - 1
THOMASTUCHEL had moaned, he had complained, he had grumbled. He has got a lot more to gripe about now.
The Chelsea manager had been all too vocal lately about being forced to play, with injuries and positive Covid tests ravaging his squad. But Chelsea's stuttering title challenge suffered another setback last night, Danny Welbeck's injury-time header snatched Brighton a deserved point at Stamford Bridge.
To add to Tuchel's mounting problems, he lost another two players last night as Reece James and Andreas Christensen limped off with injuries, after Romelu Lukaku as had headed them into a first-half lead. Graham Potter's admirable side though were by far the better team after Lukaku's goal had hit them and their ability to expose Chelsea's continuing problems will be a major worry for Tuchel, left.
