I Wanted Libby Found Safe Says Prowler Accused Of Her Murder

A Sex prowler accused of raping and murdering student Libby Squire insisted to police he wanted her found safe.

A seven-week search ended when the philosophy undergraduate’s body was pulled from the Humber estuary.

Pawel Relowicz was arrested after CCTV footage showed him driving Libby, 21, from a street corner where she had been lying in the snow crying and screaming.

But after police recovered her body his DNA was found and the jury has been told he now claimed to have had “consensual sex” with Libby during a brief encounter.

Married father-of-two Relowicz told detectives he had nothing to do with her disappearance. He said: “I want her to be found. I’ve never been so honest in my life like I have been like this.”
