BUDDING astronaut Elizabeth Norman is so out of this world that she has earned the chance to send something to the moon.

The seven-year-old space fanatic – known as Astro Liz – stages homemade launches in her garden, writes blogs and posts experiments.

The team planning the first lunar landing in nearly 50 years were so impressed they invited her to be the first child to send an object to space.

The schoolgirl has chosen her blog sticker and she and her family will get to wave it off when it launches inside a time capsule on the Vulcan Centaur mission from Florida later this year.
