DAVIES BACKS AGEING HEROES OF 2016

BEN DAVIES insists Wales’ golden oldies can roar at the Euros again this summer.

The Tottenham defender skippered Wales in their final warm-up match at home to Albania on Saturday.

Rob Page’s side now flies to Baku today ahead of facing Switzerland on Saturday in their Group A opener.

The goalless draw in Cardiff offered little to suggest Wales can match their exploits from Euro 2016 when they reached the semi-finals.

But it was a vital game on the comeback trail for Davies, Joe Allen, and Aaron Ramsey, who all started despite injury problems this season.
