Chick, who won two caps with England this summer, is buoyed by the know-how of Mike Brown coming in from the title winners and insists the Geordies are on the up and up.
Last campaign Dean Richards’ men were straight out of the blocks winning three out of three with Chick sidelined with a knee injury.
Now the 24-year old says Newcastle can use the Exeter blueprint after bloodying a few noses in their first season back since promotion from the Championship.
Chick said: “Last season we started really well, then had a bit of like a drop off in the middle and then finished well. If we had won one more game, it would have been equal to Exeter’s record for coming back up and most games won from promotion.

I'm delighted for Kolbe, he deserves all the riches
IT’s absolutely staggering to see the amounts of money involved in Cheslin Kolbe’s transfer from European champions Toulouse to Toulon. It’s mind-blowing, and also brilliant news for rugby that these sums of money are batted around in the sport. I couldn’t be happier for Cheslin or any other player to command that sort of contract.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla (for PC): Another Winner
The Assassin’s Creed series has taken us to numerous historical settings since its 2007 debut, including Ancient Greece, Renaissance Italy, and Revolutionary War-era America. The newest installment, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, details the Viking invasion of 9th Century England from the perspective of history’s most notorious raiders. Though Valhalla doesn’t introduce anything wholly new to the series, it’s an excellent PC game that follows in the footsteps of its equally exceptional predecessors, Origins and Odyssey.
