Lowe keeps Swans flying high

STEVE Cooper was delighted to see his Swansea side return to winning ways against Barnsley.

Jamal Lowe’s first-half strike and Victor Adeboyejo’s own goal saw the Swans move up to third place.

Both sides were forced to be very direct, after the Liberty Stadium pitch was hit by grass disease.

And Cooper was pleased to see his Swans overcome that to bounce back from their midweek defeat at Derby.

“We took a step back on Wednesday, but I don’t want to dwell on it because we put it right today,” said Cooper.

“I did see this reaction coming. I saw fire in their bellies in the training ground yesterday – both in the meeting we have with the players and the work on the training ground.

“They were ready to put things right and they did that.

“We can’t let nights like Wednesday define us.”
