A LIVID Neil Warnock took aim at referee Tony Harrington after Middlesbrough’s ten-match unbeaten run was ended by Norwich City.
Already frustrated after seeing James Tavernier’s successful penalty disallowed for a double touch, the Boro boss was convinced the visitors should have been reduced to ten men when Jacob Sorensen, already booked, plowed into debutant Sam Folarin.
Harrington, though, kept his cards in his pocket and Norwich, ahead through Teemu Pukki’s ice-cool spot-kick, saw out the final ten minutes to go top.
“Why haven’t we got officials that know what they’re doing?” raged Warnock. “I think that’s a disgrace today.
“That foul was worse than his booking. Then to say to me after the game that he didn’t think Sam was going to catch the ball – when the ball was going to go 15 yards maximum – why is he saying that?
“Because he knows he’s completely wrong. Like the linesman, like the fourth official – they all know he should have been sent off.
