Askey Is So Angry Over Rose ‘Dive'

FURIOUS Port Vale boss John Askey labeled Danny Rose a “diver” after he was awarded a controversial penalty during his side’s gutsy draw against Mansfield.

Vale twice came from behind to maintain their unbeaten home start to the season.

Mark Cullen canceled out Kellan Gordon’s opener before Rose fired home from the spot after earning his contentious penalty.

But Nathan Smith popped up with a last-gasp equaliser deep in stoppage time to salvage a share of the spoils.

Askey, who was booked for remonstrating with the officials after Rose got his penalty, slammed: “I got a yellow card because I hate players diving and he does it a lot. That was my frustration that somebody like that gets a penalty.

“We warned the referee about the lad who won the penalty, about his diving – he’s always on the floor.
