On June 24, 1947, a private pilot named Kenneth Arnold in the United States claimed to have witnessed nine disc-shaped crafts in the sky, moving “unlike anything else he had ever seen”. The incident was the shot across the bow to a global mania of sightings of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs), reported everywhere from rural farmlands across the world, to Washington, DC in 1952, to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official residence of Lok Kalyan Marg in 2018.

In this package, we systematically sift through the popular UFO and alien lore from Roswell to Area 51, talk to UFO investigators and scientists alike, analyse the geopolitical implications of UFO sightings at the peak of the Cold War, and dissect the technological, scientific and philosophical implications of confronting truths that could mark an epochal shift in the human civilisation.
