IF YOU’RE keen to know the latest goings on at a football club at any level then there’s really only one person you need to see.
The manager is the obvious choice but he’ll be reluctant to reveal which player is a bad apple or what went on in the dressing room after that recent heavy defeat.
If you can get to see the chairman that’s good, but he’ll probably display diplomacy rather than detail when it comes to juicy gossip.
Avoid, therefore, the manager’s office or the boardroom, and head straight for the room with the washing machines and tumble driers, because it’s the kitman you should be having a natter with.
