The Eagles were in control of the first set of the match from the get go, and with a three-point lead, sophomore Sophia Biggie took the ball to serve for the set. The Knights took the next four points, and after back-and-forth play, the Eagles dropped the first set.
The Knights controlled the second set, and took a 2-0 match lead entering the third set. In a best of five set match, the score meant George Stevens Academy would have to win the next three sets. The Eagles accepted the challenge.
