Normally at this time of year, the watch industry’s annual Watches & Wonders show in Geneva would be in full swing and the new trends for the year would be protruding like the buds of the first snowdrops. This year, obviously, predictions are a little more challenging to make, but over the last few months, some interesting trends have started to emerge.
Colour, colour, and more colour
If there was one thing that made us smile in the watch world these last few months, it has been the brands that have dared to turn up the colour. From the multicoloured hands and indexes of Breitling’s Superocean Heritage ’57 to Rolex’s new Oyster Perpetual collection with its vibrant dials and Hublot’s Big Bang Unico Jewelry Rainbow set with a whole paint palette of precious stones, there is nothing quite like a multicoloured timepiece to make you look on the bright side of life.
