WITH Christmas now less than three weeks away, many towns and villages across County Derry have been decked out with festive Christmas lights and decorations.
Many local communities have also kicked off the celebrations by coming together for the annual switching on of their town and villages’ Christmas lights.
However residents from one local village feel that they have been ‘forgotten’ as Christmas lights have only been erected along part of their main street.
Despite being decorated with lights, it is also understood that Claudy’s Christmas tree remains in darkness.
With no switch-on event planned, one resident told the County Derry Post that local children are ‘extremely disappointed’.
