MOTHER’S Day is a day that is filled with joy for many but for one local family, the event is tinged with sadness.
Mother’s Day 2016, March 6, the Watters family lost their beloved mother following a hard-fought battle with cancer at the tender age of 57, two years to the day.
Yvonne Watters, a mother of-three, had been an inspiration not only to her daughters but to her extended family and many friends.
After beating breast cancer twice, in January 2016, the Tobermore woman was diagnosed with cancer for a third time within ten years.
She was determined to not let her illness define or defeat her, but this time around, even with treatment, she was told the devastating news that her condition was not curable.
