WITH works ongoing on the new Castledawson to Ran-dalstown dualling scheme, it seems that work could also be soon underway for a new gateway feature for Castledawson Roundabout.
Planning permission is being sought by Transport NI to install a new art feature on the roundabout, as well as installation of a pedestrian/cycle linkage which comprises two 34m long bridges with associated ramps.
The sculpture that will be placed at the centre of the roundabout is one of two that were originally commissioned by the former Magherafelt District Council.
