Dan Lorenzo: How did you end up in Miami?
Konstantin Alexeyev: Hi, Dan, one of my favorite places as a city and as nature.
DL: You told me you have a specific approach when it comes to tattooing somebody. Can you explain it?
KA: Yeah, for me the most magic part of a tattoo is how it works with a body. I don’t see more interesting task than how to create a composition that will works with an anatomy of a person. That means the design of a future tattoo should take a lot of time for preparing. A freehand technique is the best way to do a totally anatomical tattoo. I use it in a lot of my tattoos, but sometimes it’s not enough and if I really want to do the best project, I’m sketching a design on a 3D model. Sometimes it takes months but it makes my art unlimited. When I want to be sure that it will be perfect I can to invite my customer for the first session. Of course, I’m not using it all the time, but I always have a one project as minimum where I can spend as much time for preparing as I want. And I never take the money for this designing, no matter how long it takes.
