AND YES, single women know that it is not a matrimonial app. But, they also know that a married man is not going to be their happy for a while, if not ever, after.
Why should this come as a surprise or shock to a married man is what I don’t understand. They seem amazed to be asked about their marital status. Some go so far as to state that they are married along with an addendum “if it matters” right at the bottom of their dating profiles. Since it is not apparent to them that it matters and how, let me spell out once and for all why a single woman (divorced or widowed or unmarried) is not interested in a married man on a dating app.
Without further ado, here are the different types of married men on Tinder and what they have to offer or show for themselves. And, at the risk of pointing out the obvious, why they don’t find any takers!
NOT HERE FOR ANY HANKY PANKY
So here is an adult male who is on a dating app and is firmly ruling out sex at the outset. Slooooow claaaap!
Not only does he use such juvenile terms to refer to a hook-up but also adopts a holier-than-thou attitude while implying that women who seek physical intimacy are somehow beneath him. Why the superiority complex? What is so great about a platonic relationship with a single woman who is looking to date someone sexually compatible?
Not that they will admit it, but it usually has something to do with the stage at which they decide to cheat.
Perhaps they are seeking no action because they are just venturing out and scared to cheat physically. So they are exploring opportunities for some sexting, which they can pass off as harmless flirting if they are caught.
