A MAN OF ACTION

Actor Vivek Dahiya, most recently seen in State of Siege: Temple Attack, is on track to translate his passion for action on the big screen

Smart ‘n’ sporty

Vivek Dahiya: “I am a Cristiano Ronaldo fan, and I have seen this sort of a combination being worn by him. It was love at first sight, and so I wanted to try t on myself someday. I wanted the look to be sporty but not athletic. And if it is football, it had to happen with shorts! Plus, we gave it a twist with the man bun thanks to how my hair grew in the lockdown”

Tan, I can!

Vivek Dahiya: “Tan is one of my favourite shades. I can have a bag, shoes, leather upholstery in the house, wall panels... all in tan! For this look, we thought of experimenting with the jacket in a shoulder-robing style. Also, the printed shirt is very cool with drop shoulders and distinct collars. This is a look I really like overall”

Mellow in yellow

Vivek Dahiya: “Frankly, this is not my style, but I wanted to experiment. My stylist always asks me to wear colors, whereas I am old-school and like to play with blue, beige, and grey. Going forward, I think I will listen to my stylist more. I’ve worn yellow T-shirts and shirts earlier, but a yellow suit was a first! I thought it would be too loud, but I feel that if you are confident about what you are wearing, nothing is too loud”

Style = What you do with fashion

Vivek Dahiya: “I wanted to draw attention to the shoes. I had picked up two different pairs from Capri, Italy, 4 years ago, and paired up one from each. When the shoes look busy, it’s always a good idea to wear them with something solid. So, I wore plain white with a twist and chose a sleeveless hoodie. White makes you and the onlookers feel light and refreshed, especially in the summer”

Kickin’ it with black

Vivek Dahiya: “Black is not very summery or sporty, but it’s a wardrobe must-have. We completed the look with these interesting pair of shoes which come quite high up and have a neon rope that adds spunk to it. My wardrobe has around 100 pairs of shoes. For me, shoes are my travel souvenirs, not fridge magnets”

Colourful cool

Vivek Dahiya: “This is my lockdown acquired look! A very loose half sleeve shirt in floral or geometric patterns and prints. Whenever I have had guests on and off at home, this was my look. It is extremely comfortable and the shirt has a very relaxing thin fabric in soothing colors, paired up with white trousers”

It’s the complete look

Vivek Dahiya: “Comfortable, casual and smart is how I will best describe this look. Pair them with moccasins or white shoes, which I really think are universal”

Lose Fat and Boost TESTOSTREONE

Every bodybuilder or athlete understands too much body fat can be detrimental. For the bodybuilder, too much body fat detracts from the physique. The athlete can’t carry too much body fat because it decreases speed and quickness, thus diminishing athletic performance. Although fat tissue can be physically unappealing to the bodybuilder while negatively influencing athletic prowess, fat cells also perform an additional function that can negatively impact the athlete and bodybuilder by drastically decreasing the production of the muscle-building hormone testosterone.

The Christmas Clock

It was December 2012, a week before Christmas. I was sitting alone at my kitchen table in Missouri, watching the hands of my Christmas clock tick toward the hour. I was waiting to hear it play “Silent Night,” which it did every night at 11 o’clock. The tune always lifted my spirits. But the second hand passed the hour mark without a peep. My heart sank. The music mechanism must have broken. You couldn’t have picked a better metaphor for my life—I kept on ticking, but the joy was missing.
